‌	JOHN MAX BRAWLEY  DIrector, CC Energy  Houston, Texas  BS ChE 1956, Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy

Max began his career with Mobil Oil Company at their Illinois Refinery in 1956.  He was a process engineer on the crude units and delayed coker. He progressed until he became the Refinery Night Superintendent.  In 1966, he went to work for Haldor Topsoe Chemical Engineers as a management consultant.  He helped managed the Kuwait Government’s 60% interest in the KNPC Shuaiba Refinery Project. He worked on constructing, testing, commissioning and startup for the KNPC Shuaiba Refinery.  He led a team to recruit the operating and management staff that made up a new operating company, simultaneously with the refinery construction. In 1972, Max became the assistant refinery manager for KNPC Shuaiba Refinery. From 1975-1978, he held the position of Refinery Manager for KNPC Refinery. From 1978-1983, Max worked for Bechtel as a marketing manager based in Kuwait and London.  From 1983 – 1986, he worked for IPG – Independent Petroleum Group as a manager of projects based in Kuwait. He managed projects to upgrade and modernize the Aden Refinery.

In 1986-1996, Max was a senior marketing executive for CCC based in London.  He managed marketing activities in the Middle East, concentrating on the Arabian Gulf, Yemen, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. From 1996-2006, Max was Managing Director of Consolidated Contractors International UK Ltd and Managing Director of CCC Oil and Gas S.A.L.  In 2006 to 2012, he was the Director of CC Energy based in Houston, Texas where he was responsible for Oil and Gas exploration, development and production for CCC operations in Yemen.

Max is a professional engineer of the State of Illinois and now holds the title of Professional Engineer Emeritus.  He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, is an honorary deputy sheriff of Reynolds County, Missouri.  Max owns and operates 12,000 acres of farms and timberland.

Max and his wife Abida reside in Ellington, Missouri. Max was inducted into the Academy in 2013.
