Will retired as Chief Administrative Officer and a Director of Ashland in 1981. He continues to stay current in his field as a consultant. His professional accomplishments include holding patents in the field of catalytic reforming and hydrodealkylation. He developed the "hydeal" process for production of benzene and naphthalene from aromatic concentrates. He is involved in his community and is a member of the Elks, Shrine, and Disabled American Veterans. Bill has been very active with the Alumni Association serving as a member of the Board of Directors, as a class coordinator, and as a section officer. He received the Alumni Achievement Award in 1985. Bill also received the MM Award from the student athlete M Club at UMR. He and his wife Dottie have been members of OGS since 1987, and they reside in Sarasota, Florida. Bill was inducted into the Academy in 1996.
