Dustin Olson is Chief Manufacturing Officer for PureCycle Technologies and leads all global manufacturing, project management, supply chain operations, and joint venture development. PureCycle's mission to transform the world's polypropylene recycling industry builds upon Olson's solid leadership principles as he works to reimagine the day-today business environment. Olson values collaboration and embraces diversity to create high-functioning teams and encourage better decision making. His breadth of experience creates a unique cross-functional and cross-cultural perspective to draw alignment between diverse viewpoints.
Olson spent more than 20 years developing a diverse career path across refining, olefins, specialty chemicals, and specialty polymers throughout the United States, The Netherlands, and China. As a business leader in Shanghai, Olson was responsible for the Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East, and India business units, and let the successful regional integration of two major companies while achieving year-over-year financial growth. Earlier in his career, Olson held senior leadership roles in manufacturing, commercial, and business support functions in refining, commodity chemicals, and specialty polymer business units across the world.
Olson holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, A Master of Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. He strongly supports numerous educational endeavors as a Board member for the Industrial Advisor Council at the University of Missouri-Roll Department of Chemical Engineering (2009-2012), the Rice University Jones School Alumni (2010-13), and the Steeleville High School Foundation (current).
Olson and his wife, Amanda, have three children and currently live in Orlando, Flordia.
