William Watson BS ChE ’91, Missouri University of Science & Technology

Bill is the General Manager of the Shell Deer Park Texas Chemicals site. He joined Shell in 1991 after finishing a degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Bill grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and started his career with Shell in Houston.

Since that time, he has worked at several Manufacturing locations across the country and the world. He has also worked in regional and global roles. In addition to his site general management experience, he has also held various technical, operations and startup management roles as well as senior HSSE, production and technology leadership positions.

Bill brings a collaborative, intent based leadership style along with a demonstrated history of developing people and driving sustainable results improvement. He participated in outside activities with participation in the following: Board of Directors, East Harris County Manufacturers Association; Board of Directors, Texas Chemistry Council; Deer Park, TX Community Advisory Committee – Member, Board of Directors; Beaver County, PA Chamber of Executive Council Member; and Board of Directors, Allegheny Conference.

Bill is married to his spouse of 32 years, and they have two sons, who also live and work in Southeast Texas.  When not at work, he enjoys spending time with family, exercising and spending time outdoors.
