Dannie served two years active duty in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps after his time at UMR.  He began his career with Conoco Inc. in Ponca City, Oklahoma in 1969.  He functioned within a corporate engineering group providing input for major projects, plant maintenance shutdowns, and operating units for domestic and international sites.  He supported major capital project activities with corrosion control and metallurgy input for equipment while promoting equipment integrity and reliability.  He also provided technical leadership to address and resolve corrosion/materials issues at major process unit maintenance shutdowns in petroleum refineries.  His technical expertise on corrosion, fouling, and materials issues had significant business impact in process units in the refineries.  By 2002, Dannie had progressed to Principal Consultant-Corrosion.  In 2003, he became owner of CorrMat International LLC. Dannie is a corrosion consultant with extensive technical expertise in the development and use of corrosion control programs for process units in petroleum refineries. His process knowledge and background provides unique perspective from which to troubleshoot corrosion issues and determine multi-faceted solutions.  Dannie is recognized as one who is proactive to identify potential corrosion problems and formulate a plan to address them.  He is knowledgeable in the application of materials for refinery equipment to provide appropriate service life.  He is also a corrosion resource in expert review of process units to determine potential degradation mechanisms and related operations parameters for their prevention.

Dannie is a 35 year member of NACE International. He received a Distinguished Service Award from NACE.  He has also served as Chairman of the Petroleum Refining Industry Technical Committee and as an Instructor for the Corrosion Control in the Refining Industry course. Dannie and his wife Diane reside in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Dannie was inducted into the Academy in 2013.
