During Hank's 34-year career with Phillips Petroleum Company, he has been instrumental in securing scholarships and boosting the careers of many young engineers in his capacity as the Phillips Executive Contact with UMR, a position he held as associate and primary contact for over 30 years. He has served UMR as a Chancellor's Leadership Speaker and as a member of the Corporate Development Council for over eleven years. The department is enhanced by his participation on the Industrial Advisory Committee and on the Academy Executive Committee. He has received numerous professional and civic awards including the 1996 Hanlon Award, which is the highest honor given by the Gas Processors Association. He is a Fellow of both AIChE and the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers. Hank received the Alumni Association's Alumni Service Award in 1996. He and his wife Lyla have been members of OGS since 1996, and they reside in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where they are active in community and church activities. Hank retired from the Phillips Petroleum Company in 1999. Hank was inducted into the Academy in 1996.
