David began his career in 1978 with GPM Gas Corporation and other Phillips Petroleum Company subsidiaries where he progressed from a project engineer to Director of Austin System Gas Purchases.  In 1995, David went to work for Kinder Morgan Inc. and related subsidiaries where he was Director of Business Development. In 2005, he was Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Bear Paw Energy/Northern Border Partners/ONEOK.  In 2009, he became President of ONEOK Partners.  Throughout his career his responsibilities have spanned: management of business development, operations and engineering organizations, identification and evaluation of acquisition and divestiture opportunities, contract negotiation, team leadership, new business development, economic and risk analysis, strategic planning, and research and development.

David’s accomplishments are: negotiated and closed transactions totaling over $350 million, negotiated sale or exchange of over $40 million of non-strategic assets, successfully defended contract litigation claims totaling over $60 million, personally negotiated dozens of profitable gas supply contracts with a very diverse group of producers, ranging from family-owned businesses to Exxon.  David was award a US Patent in refining technology.

David and his wife Karen reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
