Gerry has spent many years in executive management and on boards of directors in the field of chemical engineering, with the Shell Oil, Davy McKee Corporation, and Jacobs Engineering Group. He is currently President of Summit Prairie Corporation, a management and venture capital company. Professionally, he is a member and has had Board appointments in AIChE and the American Chemical Society. Gerry is one of the most easily recognized alumni on the UMR campus. He has served as the President of the MSM-UMR Alumni Association and the UMR Board of Trustees, and is currently a member of the Dean of Engineering's Advisory Board. He is also an Emeritus member with the UMR Board of Trustees. His contributions to the department include his years on the Industrial Advisory Committee. He holds numerous patents and has authored several articles. He and his wife Jeannie have been OGS members since 1986. Gerry and Jeannie reside in Highland City, Florida. The Gerald L. and Eugenia Bradford Stevenson Endowed Scholarship Fund has been established to help chemical engineering students. Gerry was inducted into the Academy in 1996.
